The Adrenaline, based out of Langley, competed in the Men’s Silver Division while the Westcoast Warriors competed in the Bantam Division. The Adrenaline have had a busy season of travelling. They traveled to Las Vegas in October for the USA Hockey Inline Cup and wound up with a tough semifinal loss. After that event, a number of Adrenaline players ventured to Honk Kong for the 2009 Hong Kong Inline Cup in November. Saving the best for last, the Adrenaline traveled down the I-5 to San Jose to test themselves at the 2010 NARCh Winternationals. The previous tournament experience paid off as the team went 3-0 in the round robin to claim the top seed entering the playoffs. The team continued their winning ways with a 3-2 quarterfinal win over Edmonton based 4pac4play and a 4-0 shutout of Hawaiian team, Cheehuu, in the semifinals. The Championship put the team up against Northern Lights for tournament bragging rights. Adrenaline jumped on the board with a couple of quick goals and looked to be cruising to victory. Northern Lights battled back to keep the game close; however, they couldn’t match the high-powered Adrenaline offence and the B.C. team skated away to a 5-3 victory.
BANTAM WARRIORS EARN SILVER The Bantam Westcoast Warriors returned to San Jose hoping to improve on their Silver Medal finish in 2009. With only two returning players, the team was aware of how tough this challenge would be. The team went through the round robin with a 2-1-1 record to claim the third and final playoff spot and a semifinal matchup against the Revision Devil Dogs from Southern California. The Warriors came out hard and controlled both ends of the rink and walked away with a convincing 2-0 victory. The championship game was a rematch against the top-seed Norcal Riot Black from San Jose. The Warriors could not maintain their momentum from the semifinals and quickly fell behind, 3-0. Unable to mount much of an attack, the Langley team surrendered two more second half goals before getting a late goal of their own to finish the game on the wrong end of the 5-1 score and the silver medal.
