The Atom C4 Raiders won the 24th Annual Port Coquitlam Christmas Tournament.
It was a low scoring final between the Raiders and the Langley Warriors that remained tied until the late stages of the game.
With 20 seconds left, Levi Brack scored to give the Raiders a 1-0 lead, a lead they didn’t relinquish in the dying seconds.
The Ridge Meadows Atom C2 Rampage, Atom C5 Road Runners and Atom C6 Vipers also played in the tournament.
The Ridge Meadows Atom A1 Rustlers went 2-1-1 in round robin play at the Abbotsford Minor Hockey Atom Rep Tournament but were knocked out in their first game of the playoff round, losing 6-0 to the Semiahmoo A1 team. The Ridge Meadows A2 Rustlers went 2-1 in round robin play at the Surrey Minor Hockey Atom Rep Christmas Tournament. The Rustlers then beat Cloverdale A2 3-2 in the quarterfinals before losing to Seafair A2 7-3 in the semifinals.
The Atom C7 Hurricanes played in the Atom C division at the Fourth Annual Canuck Place Charity Hockey Tournament. The team went 3-0 in round robin play but lost in the semifinals 4-2 to the Langley C5 team. In the bronze medal game the Hurricanes lost 6-3 to the Cloverdale C5 team. |
