Chevrolet in conjunction with Hockey Canada and BC Hockey recently announced that the 2009-2010 Chevrolet Safe & Fun Hockey Program will be hosting a Festival in Prince George, BC on November 13-14, 2009 in Prince George at the Coliseum & Civic Center.
The deadline for contest entry is October 3, 2009. Contest entries go directly to General Motors as they compile their participant list and conduct the draw for this festival.
The Safe & Fun Hockey Festivals consist of on-ice instruction, off-ice sessions, team building activities and parent seminars. Each participant will receive a Chevrolet Safe & Fun Hockey jersey, autograph items and the opportunity to hang out with Chevrolet Hockey Ambassador Bobby Orr!
If you have a young hockey player that is between the ages of 5-8, you can enter their name for a chance to win a spot in the festival. All you need to do is go online at www.chevrolethockey.ca and fill out the online form.
Jamborees are specialized tournaments aimed at less experienced hockey players. It is run by BC Hockey and is an initiative of the BC Hockey Female Hockey Development Committee. These Jamborees are supported by the Vancouver Canucks Hockey Club and a program of the Canucks Centre for BC Hockey. They emphasize fun and fair play. Players are placed onto teams based on age and ability where each team will compete in three games
